About OFDA & Robotic Vision

OFDA stands for “Optical-based Fibre Diameter Analyser”. The first OFDA instrument, the OFDA100, was released in 1994 and has since evolved into the advanced OFDA2000 and OFDA4000 systems used globally today.

Robotic Vision was founded in 2023 after acquiring the OFDA business from BSC Electronics, continuing a legacy of innovation and precision that spans over three decades. Thomas Hegerty, Director of Robotic Vision, worked at BSC for 10 years and is committed to maintaining the high standards of accuracy, reliability, and customer service that define the OFDA brand.
