Est. 1996, Thang Long Art Gallery is one of Hanoi’s most prestigious art spaces, showcasing top-tier Vietnamese contemporary artists with exhibitions in London, Singapore, Tokyo, Dubai, and beyond.
“Thang Long” is the former name of Hanoi, chosen by Emperor Ly Thai To in 1010. “Thang” means Ascending and “Long” means Dragon — a name that carries over a thousand years of Vietnamese history and culture.
Founded in 1996 in Hanoi’s historic Old Quarter, Thang Long Art Gallery spans over 520m² (5,600 sqft), making it one of the largest and most prominent art spaces in Vietnam. We showcase a diverse range of Vietnamese art — from the post-French-colonial era (Hậu Đông Dương) to the Đổi Mới (Renovation) period and contemporary works.
We are proud to have exhibited at Bonhams London as part of Asian Art in London 2024 and will participate in Sotheby’s London exhibition in November 2025. Our artists have been featured in major cities worldwide, including Tokyo, Singapore, Dubai, and Berlin.
