My name is Derik VanVleet. Every project begins and ends with one thing: wood. I hand-select each piece from the rough to ensure the best color and grain matching possible. I sketch out where each component will come from and mill the lumber myself, revealing the hidden beauty beneath the surface.
Building is just the first step — finishing is where the soul of the wood shines. I use only natural oils and clear finishes that enhance the wood’s true character, never stains or gels that mask its natural beauty.
